Information
Honda RC-F1 1.0X, nicknamed the 'white crow'. First of 3 Honda RC100 series F1 prototypes. Although Honda has just won 6 WCC consecutively as the engine supplier, they hadn't been building F1 chassis since the 1960s. The 3 prototypes were by Honda road car department engineers voluntarily in their spare time. Honda funded those projects as an encouragement to workers' innovation, but no technological support was provided. The engineers had no access to latest chassis design at that time and only built the RC100 by calculation.
The RC100 was destroyed in the crash test of its predecessor RC101 to prove it complied with the 1993 regulations.
