Information
This chassis is the third and final Gillet Vertigo built to FIA GT specifications. It is the only surviving example in its original configuration. The car was completed for competition use in 2005.
This chassis competed under the Belgian Racing Team banner in the FIA GT Championship. Its first major international race was the 2005 FIA GT round at Zhuhai, where it secured a class victory. It continued to compete in the FIA GT series through 2006, 2007, and 2008, contributing to three consecutive class championship titles during that period.
The car was driven by several Belgian drivers during its competitive career, including Bas Leinders, Renaud Kuppens, Vanina Ickx, Maxime Martin, Jérôme d’Ambrosio, Sarah Bovy, and Sylvie Delcour.
After 2008, the car was retired from international racing and remained in Belgium. It was rebuilt by Gillet in its preferred configuration, including the same 3.0L Alfa Romeo V6 engine prepared by Ellegi Motori. The car is fitted with a dry-sump oil system, an EFI Techno ECU, and Magneti Marelli dash and data logging.
The transmission is a 6-speed sequential gearbox supplied by Tractive. The chassis includes double wishbone suspension front and rear, push-rod front layout, adjustable anti-roll bars, Öhlins adjustable dampers, and AP Racing 4-pot calipers with ventilated brake discs.
The car retains its 2005 Zhuhai race-winning livery. It is sold with an additional set of wheels and the complete original body molds.
