Information
This car had two famous accidents in two consecutive Grands Prix with Gerhard Berger.
During 1993 Italian GP, after the qualifying session was over, the two Ferraris were heading back to pitlane together. Berger was overtaking Jean Alesi at Variante Ascari, but the teammates misunderstood each other: Berger went outside to overtake, but Alesi did the same. Berger lost control to avoid Alesi, his car hit barrier on left side, and spun through the track and gravels on right side, then hit the barrier again.
Two weeks later at Estoril, Berger had just finished a pit stop, his suspension failed when his car barely exit the pit lane. The car lost control, drifted across the track in 90o, almost hit the cars dashing along the straight, and hit the barrier on the other side.
Luckily, Berger was unharmed in both accidents.
