When Mansell went to sell the car in fall 1989, he promised to sell the vehicle for £680,000 to David McKee. However, John Collins of Talacrest Ltd., offered £1,000,000 and Mansell sold it to Collins/Talacrest instead of McKee. He appealed to the court and was successful: Mansell was condemned to pay the difference to McKee
