Low-wing version for Switzerland - In order to have an F40 registered in Switzerland one of the then official Swiss dealers (Walo Schibler's company Symbol Automobiles SA of Matran) invented a private solution with the middle-wing. Only with that additional center piece Swiss delivered F40's could be registered and became legal for road use. New F40s arrived in Switzerland with their standard rear wing but could not be registered.
