Information

The car was to be presented to Pope John Paul II by Montezemolo and other Ferrari executives at the Vatican in January 2005. While His Holiness thanked his visitors for such a generous gift, with his typical humility, he suggested that they sell it in his name and donate the proceeds to the victims of the tsunami that had devastated Southeast Asia just a few weeks earlier. Consequently, the car was returned to the Ferrari facilities in Maranello until the auction held there in June 2005. There it was sold, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. Sadly, Pope John Paul II had passed away in April, but Ferrari kept his promise and returned to the Vatican to present his successor, Pope Benedict XVI, with a check for the proceeds from the sale going to charity.

400th Enzo built.

Location unknown since auction.

'Questa Enzo unica nella storia della Ferrari quale segno della solidarietà per chi soffre ispirata da un Grande Papa, Giovanni Paolo II.'
-Handwritten by Luca Corderi di Montezemolo (President of Ferrari at that time) under the trunk
