Won the 1959 12 Hours of Sebring
First of five 250 TR59s constructed
Driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien, it scored a debut victory during the Sebring 12 Hours. At the end of the year, the car was sold to Luigi Chinetti. It placed second at Le Mans in 1960 driven by Ricardo Rodriguez and Andre Pilette. Then briefly owned and raced by Hap Sharp, who quickly sold it on to Bob Hurt. In the following decade it remained in American ownership with collector Joel Finn. Then sold to Swiss collector Albert Obrist and restored by Fantuzzi. He sold his entire collection to Bernie Ecclestone. Later acquired by an American collector. In 2009 the car was reunited with the other three surviving examples for the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
