Originally owned by soon to be F1 world champion Mike Hawthorn.
Hawthorn commission coach builders Abbott of Farnham, Surrey to build a custom open tourer, where it was originally painted Nero.
The only Ferrari to be bodied by Abbott.
Commissioned by previous owner Martin McGlone to be rebodied as a 212 Barchetta inspired by Phil HIll's by R M Wilson Engineering in Leicestershire - 1984.
Engine and mechanicals rebuilt by Terry Hoyle Engineering - post rebody.
Original engine transplanted into #0153EL, 0247EL's engine installed in this car - early 90's.
Repainted from Nero to Rosso Corsa by previous owner and car dealer, Jeff Dutton in 2003.
