Information
Winner of 1981 Monaco Grand Prix and 1981 Spanish Grand Prix
At 1981 Canadian GP, Gilles Villeneuve had an accident and damaged his front wing, the broken wing along with nose cone sticked upwards and blocked his vision. Villeneuve kept racing by seeing the yellow lines at the edge of the track through his rear view mirrors. Later he rode on curbs to shake the broken wing off and went on without a front wing in a rainy day. Villeneuve eventually finished P3 with a broken car despite lost much time while driving blindly.
