Modifications
Originally fitted with a supercharged 7L I8 tuned by August Duesenberg to make 400hp
For higher speed, a 26L 750hp Curtiss Conqueror aircraft V12 engine was fitted
A specialized chassis was made to help contain the Curtiss Conqueror aircraft engine
In 1938 the Curtiss Conqueror aircraft engine was removed during a restoration
In 1938 restoration reverted it to the original 'Duesenberg Special' specification
