Information
Model SJ Bohman & Schwartz Torpedo Sedanette. Nicknamed 'Mudd Coupe. Originally built as a short-wheelbase Derham Sedan. The idea was to have an aerodynamic coupe design which was way ahead of its time in the 1930's. The body panels were covered in leather like cloth and the car featured a sliding sun roof. The four door sedan coachwork was transformed to an aerodynamic fast back coupe. A Duesenberg chassis had never received such a streamlined look. The stock Model J engine was also upgraded to include a supercharger, only one of 5 factory equipped Model SJ engines to feature a twin carburetor 'rams head' manifold, named for its similar appearance.
