Information
Originally owned by the California Liquid Gas Corporation. Under their ownership, the car was converted to run on propane gas, with two 30 gallon tanks mounted in the trunk. The car was driven across the United States as part of a promotional campaign called the 'Cal Gas Clean Air Crusade'. The campaign ended in Arkansas where the car was put up for sale on a used lot with all of the propane conversion remaining.
All propane components removed under second ownership.
Repainted in blue during the Clean Air Crusade and later in copper brown under the second ownership. Restored to EV2 Hemi Orange under third ownership.
Original 4-speed manual swapped for a 727 TorqueFlite automatic under second ownership. Swapped back to an unoriginal 4-speed manual under third ownership.
Involved in a wreck in 1977 which damaged the nose cone and dented one fender. Sat until 1979 when it was sent to Bloomfield, Missouri to be repaired.
