Restored over the course of 2013 - 2014, post long term storage by Carrs Ferrari, Exeter, UK.
During restoration, the body was taken back to bare metal, and refinished by Stallion Motor Body Specialists, with satin black body trim returned to the original finish.
The interior restoration during this period was handled by Carrs, who sourced old new stock replacement pieces, and re - fitting the interior with the correct period finish materials, including the high sought after 'mouse hair' dashboard.
Mechanically, the gearbox was rebuilt, with a renewed clutch assembly, new head studs, cam shafts and engine mounts. Steering rack was overhauled, the heater matrix was re-cored, and a new brake master cylinder seal kit was fitted.
Post restoration, the car was maintained by Nick Cartwright Specialist Cars, commisioned for a detailed recommissioning of the engine, ignition and fuel systems, refurbished braking components, new Koni shock absorbers, new fuel lines and breather hoses, and a beautifully finished, period correct stainless-steel exhaust system.
