Information
Cougar chassis C02-02 began life in 1984 as a Ford-Cosworth powered Cougar C02, running Le Mans and a handful of IMSA GTP outings before returning to Europe. As Yves Courage continued developing his prototypes, the same tub was progressively updated—first into C12 specification with Porsche turbo power, then evolved again into C22 with revised aero and 962-derived running gear. Its final competitive form came in the early ’90s as a C26S, the ultimate iteration of Courage’s Porsche-powered Group C line. After retiring from period racing, C02-02 was restored and now lives on in historic events as a rare, long-serving survivor of Courage’s evolving prototype family.
