Information
Five-time race-winning chassis in the hands of legendary works driver, Bruce McLaren, including winning the 1962 Australian Grand Prix.
Ordered in chassis form by Tommy Atkins with the initial plan of fitting a customer BRM P56 1.5 Litre V8 for Bruce McLaren to drive it in non-championship F1 races that Cooper themselves were not interested in contesting.
When the BRM was delayed, the decision was made to fit a 2.7-litre Coventry Climax FPF engine for Bruce McLaren to race in the 1962/63 Tasman Series, where it raced in both a 2.5 and a 2.7-litre format.
Now fitted with a Crosthwaite & Gardiner-built 2.5-Litre Coventry Climax FPF as it ran in period, and a fresh Colotti T32.
