Piloted by Bugatti test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel to 431.072 km/h / 267.856 mph *average* on the 4th of July 2010.
Earlier on this day James May of BBC Top Gear fame piloted the car to 417 km/h / 259.11 mph - production car is limited to 415 km/h / 258 mph.

Broke the lap record at Top Gear's (Dusfold Aerodrome) Test Track, setting a lap of 1:16.8.
