Information
1935 Bugatti Type 57 / 101C Coupé
This car was built on a converted Type 57
Type 57 Cabriolet Stelvio > received a new modified body from a Simca Versailles between 1955 and 1959. Now new 57S Atalante toit ouvrant body by Auto Classique Touraine.
The first owner Philippe Levy wanted a Stelvio, not from the factory but from the coachbuilder Gangloff in Colmar. This was the first Stelvio from Gangloff and initiated the switch over for all Stelvios made by them.
When it received the Versailles body it was called '101/57 Berline' but not by the factory.
The Simca body was taken off and a new 57S Atalante toit ouvrant body was made by Auto Classique Touraine. The unfinished project was presented (without an engine) at the Retromobile in 2009 at which time the car came up for sale again
