Information
The Bugatti Type 252 is a prototype built in 1957, conceived as a small, lightweight sports car powered by a 1.5-liter twin-cam engine. It was intended to revive Bugatti after years of difficulty. Despite its interesting technical qualities, the project was abandoned due to a lack of financial resources, a highly competitive market, and the overall decline of the Bugatti factory. The final shutdown of the company’s automotive operations ultimately ended the project.
It has been nicknamed 'Ettorette'.
Classified as a 'Monument Historique' since the 14th of April 1978.
