Written off during 1980 United States Grand Prix West. Ricardo Zunino retired the Brabham, then Clay Regazzoni had a brake failure and hit the abandoned Brabham at 280 km/h, and then hit the wall. Regazzoni was seriously injured and paralyzed from the waist down. Both cars were destroyed.
