Originally finished in Ceylon Gold.
Records suggest that the car underwent a comprehensive restoration in 1996, which included bodywork repairs and a full respray from its original colour of Ceylon Gold to Golf Yellow.
The car underwent a comprehensive restoration in 1996, which was carried out by Bramley Garage. The car then handed over to classic BMW specialist Munich Legends, who stripped the bodywork, performed necessary repairs, and repainted it in the striking hue of Golf Yellow.
This example is understood to be fitted with the optional ‘Stadtpaket’ (city package), which was not quite as light due to the retention of some of the interior conveniences, as well as the likes of power steering, sound deadening, and the heated rear windscreen.
