Information
During 1999 Italian Grand Prix, home race driver Giancarlo Fisichella crashed on lap 2. The marshals didn't move his car far away from the track. When the race was over, the fans rushed to steal parts from the car, they even fought against each other for souvenirs. The rear wing, engine cover, sidepods, rear view mirror, seat and front wing was stolen. Benetton checked the car and found the chassis wasn't damaged, otherwise they would sue the track for the reparation fee.
