Information
Owned by the french journalist Jean Dulon, it completed an extraordinary 25,000 km journey across the Australian continent, including nearly 8,000 km of unsealed roads. During the expedition, it became the first two-wheel-drive vehicle ever to reach Cape York, the northernmost point of mainland Australia.
After this trip, the car was transformed by Australian design studio Balarinji, renowned for creating the iconic Aboriginal liveries of Qantas' Flying Art series. Hand-painted by Aboriginal artist Frank Lee, the artwork was inspired by the 'Wunala Dreaming' One of Qantas' Flying Art Series - where 2 Boeing 747-400s were painted in the iconic livery. The artwork incorporated traditional Aboriginal motifs symbolizing the Twingo’s journey across deserts, rivers, and remote landscapes.
Balarinji signed the tail of one of Qantas' 'Wunala Dreaming' 747s: VH-OJB. After a photoshoot of the Twingo was done with the plane.
More than 250,000 km on the odometer.
