Information
Early in it's life, it was notably owned by Australian media personality, Ken Sparkes, and former CEO of the Australian branch of Coca-Cola (Coca-Cola Amatil) Dean Wills.
Paintwork was noted as being 'tired' by previous owner, leading for the bodywoek to be resprayed by Stow Smash Repair of Artarmon, NSW c. late 80's early 90's.
Over the course of the late 90's / early 2000's the car was in need of mehcanical work, as it had been a daily driver, and regularly partook in AMOC track events, so the owner restored the brakes, clutch, door sils, rust in the boot and other minor bits and pieces, all whilst it's engine underwent a (delayed but) full mechanical overhaul.
The restoration work was completed, with the engine fitted in December 2005, so the owner had decided to celebrate by entering in the 2007 Classic Adelaide Rally, sadly the car was damaged, when another car drove into the side of it, resulting in the side door being re-skinned, and leading onto an ownership change, with a good friend purchasing it off the previous owner (with him stating due to rising prices, even with all the work attended with the car, he received his money back)
