Information
Purchased by previous owner, Les Johnson, with the intention to use it to cross Australia, entered as a James Bond/ 007 themed entrance for the 1985 Bourke to Broome Redux.
The boot was removed and replaced with a fibreglass bootlid, this was done to create an electric bullet proof screen.
Self parking windscreen wiper motor was fitted for a revolving licence plate, twin machine guns fitted to the front mud guards.
Wire wheels replaced with steel rims for the rally, with knock ons fitted to minimise havock caused.
The car crossed Australia, arriving in Broome on five cylinders at 120 mph, having only suffered minor hiccups along the way.
The car was subsequently restored.
