Information
DB3S/6 came out of the factory in 1954 as a coupe with DB3S/7 in order to test a more aerodynamic bodywork and reach higher speed especially for Le Mans.
DB3S/6 and DB3S/7 both crashed at Le Mans as the Coupe body made the car unstable at high speed. They were both rebuilt and converted as barquette for the 1955 season registered respectively 62EMU and 63EMU.
The original engine DP101/16 was replaced by DP101/46 and put in DB3S/10.
