Upgraded to A525 in 2025 season
During 2025 Japanese Grand Prix FP2, Jack Doohan had a severe crash. At Turn 1, Doohan didn't turn off DRS while going into the corner, which he believed he could do on a simulator. But in fact the lack of downforce caused him to lose control at a high speed. The car crashed into the barrier heavily and was totally destroyed. Doohan missed FP3 and the team had to rebuilt a new car for him, the only surviving component was the power unit.
However the chassis wasn't completely destroyed despite the crack was even visible on broadcast. It was repaired and continued to race later that season.
