Originally delivered to Venezuela, where it became part of the country’s vibrant mid-century racing scene under Juan ‘Jack’ Fernandez. Initially AC-engined, it reflected the model’s early lightweight agility, later enhanced across the range by the adoption of the more powerful Bristol straight-six, which transformed the Ace into a competitive force in international sports car racing. In the period, Ace-Bristols in Venezuela were modified for endurance competition, most notably those associated with Renny Ottolina. Returning to the UK in 2014 after decades abroad, AEX 95 was sympathetically restored as a tribute to these distinctive competition cars. Today, it embodies both its South American racing heritage and the broader legacy of the Ace-Bristol, a key precursor to the AC Cobra.
