About
The Rocky Mountain Auto Collection is the car collection of billionaire Walmart heir S. Robson Walton (Rob Walton) and is one of the world's greatest collections of automobiles. Based in Arizona, the collection includes a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Coupé Aero and two Ferrari 250 GTO's, with those three cars alone worth circa $200 million combined. Other notable Ferraris include a 250 Testa Rossa, a 250 LM, a 250 SWB California Spyder, and two 250 GT SWB Berlinettas. The collection is also home to a McLaren F1 (formerly owned by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll), the 1963 Aston Martin DP215 Grand Touring Competition Prototype (bought for $21 milion at auction in 2018), a Shelby Daytona (Chassis CSX 2286) built for the 1964 24 Hour of Le Mans, and a two-time Le Mans-winning Ford GT Mk. I. This only scratches the surface of Mr. Walton's collection, which, while worth many hundreds of millions of dollars on paper, is truly priceless.
