About

Mark Mateschitz, son of the late Dietrich Mateschitz, the wealthiest Austrian and founder of Red Bull, recently began building his private car collection. Focused mainly on Ferraris, it includes classics like the 275 GTB, 288 GTO, and F40, as well as modern models such as the 812 Competizione and Daytona SP3. In 2025, he acquired all 69 historic Formula 1 cars from Bernie Ecclestone’s private collection in what is considered the largest single transaction ever to take place in the collector car world. To house his collection, he is constructing 'Depot Salzburg' near Red Bull Hangar-7 in Salzburg, a car storage designed to accommodate hundreds of cars.
