Dr. Thomas Bscher is an Amateur racer, previously active in GT racing and still occasionally attending historic racing events.

Together with Ray Bellm he approached Ron Dennis to build them a racing version of the Mclaren F1 which was only available as a roadcar at the time, which went on to win the 24h of Le Mans the first year it was entered into competition

In the early 2000s Bscher went on to join VW AG as President of Bugatti
