Christophe's Car Collection

Paris, Île-de-France, France
About
Daniel Bevilacqua, best known by his stage name Christophe, assembled a personal collection of cars that reflected his deep love for design, emotion, and individuality. Based in France, the collection was made up of carefully chosen vehicles—often rare, Italian or French, and aesthetically striking. Rather than pursuing volume or investment-grade prestige, Christophe sought out cars that resonated with his artistic sensibilities. His collection included marques such as Facel Vega, Lamborghini, Citroën, and Ferrari, among others, and was largely kept private throughout his life.
Bio
Daniel Bevilacqua (1945 2020), professionally known as Christophe, was a French singer, songwriter, and cultural icon. Renowned for his haunting voice and experimental style, he rose to fame in the 1960s with hits like Aline and later became known for his cinematic approach to music and stagecraft. Outside the studio, Christophe had a passion for beautiful objects—particularly vintage watches, jukeboxes, and automobiles. He often spoke of cars in poetic terms, valuing them as sculptures and sources of inspiration. His taste leaned toward elegant and often idiosyncratic vehicles, which he collected and preserved with care. His automotive collection, like his music, reflected a lifelong devotion to craftsmanship, emotion, and style.
